Equipment Engineer SSF
The company is currently recruiting for an Equipment Engineer based in their Grange Castle Site.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals Grange Castle manufacturing plant which is situated on a 90-acre site in South Dublin. Role Description:
The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise to support equipment design, construction and qualification of this state of the art flexible Bio-manufacturing unit at the Grange Castle site.
Skills Required:
• Act as the primary point of contact with A/E design firm discipline engineers
• Provide client engineering input to scope definition for specific unit operations design along with associated support systems and infrastructure
• Manage the engineering equipment design - Provide design and coordination support between the site and the package vendors
• Work closely with the automation team during systems development and testing in order to gain a working understanding and in some cases an in depth knowledge of the process control software
• Schedule - Responsible for equipment tracking, and managing the schedule – design thru to construction completion
• Ensure all equipment installed is safe, effective and in compliance with industry standards
• Help establish Construction Quality Control plans for the packages
• Coordinate technical and compliance review of testing protocols and reports
• Operate according to SOPs developed for verification, validated manufacturing operations and cGMP compliance
• Ensure all company and site engineering policies and procedures are adhered to

Education/Experience:
• Min qualification – BEng (or equivalent)
• Experience working in Biopharma or API engineering, operations, or manufacturing with deep technical experience in specific unit operations (e.g. buffer/media make-up, purification, cell culture) related to process manufacturing
• Experience of A/E Design Firm project execution
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience
• The following would be strongly advantageous:
• Experience in design and operation of single use technology.
• Experience of equipment vendor package management and design coordination
• Knowledge and experience with plant start-up
• Familiarity with operating in a fully automated (Delta V) plant
• Demonstrated proficiency communicating and collaborating at a variety of levels with customers, vendors, equipment suppliers and operations staff
o Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
