Lead the coordination of hull and structural design activities in the basic design phase of shipbuilding, retrofit, or conversion projects.
Translate project requirements and specifications into viable structural design concepts that align with GLO Marine’s technical standards and client expectations.
Review and validate drawings and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with class rules (e.g., DNV, LR, ABS) and IMO standards.
Act as a technical liaison with clients, classification societies, and internal design disciplines to ensure seamless integration and approvals.
Identify issues and propose practical, cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality or safety.
Coordinate and mentor junior engineers, ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to project timelines.
Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of experience in hull and structural design, with significant involvement in basic design phases.
Strong understanding of classification rules and shipbuilding regulations.
Excellent problem-solving mindset and ability to find practical solutions.
Experience working in a project-based, multi-disciplinary environment.
Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Good command of English, written and spoken.
