Audit Seniors Big 4
The company is a Big 4 practice, in the process of strengthening their team they are looking for a number of qualified Audit Seniors to work on a variety of client assignments.
Based in Cork these roles offer fast career progression for the right candidate to manager level whilst engaging with a portfolio of client through the group such as large indigenous, multi-national.
As an Audit Senior within the audit department, you will be expected to meet client commitments on audit engagements by executing the audit and completing audit files within the specified timeframe of the engagement.
You will be expected to achieve specific audit engagements to the high standard expected of employees of the firm, whilst demonstrating the firm values of: working as a team, focusing on their clients and targets. As these roles have career potential you will be quickly identified as a leader, and as such will have the ability to communicate with corporate, the local partners, clients, staff members alike.
Overall duties include:
• Assisting with planning of audit, including budget, staffing and timelines
• Assisting with the preparation of the audit summary ahead of the board meeting for the closing meeting with the client
• Participating in audit planning meetings
• Managing and co-ordinating the audit engagement
• Closing all queries raised by Manager on audit work papers
• Escalating Client technical queries to Manager
• Ensuring all queries on file are closed off
• Planning, controlling and reviewing the work of the audit team, by deploying staff effectively
• Participating in conference calls to discuss engagement progress
• Advising Manager promptly of problems that may arise
• Completing audit files and bringing assignment to completion
• Achieving time budgets and meeting deadlines
• Ensuring that all files are finalised and ready for partner signoff
• Demonstrate the ability to influence, change ad shape the direction of a particular activity
• Coach junior staff through sharing of experience and knowledge
• Contribute to effective team work in internal engagement situations

Ideally you will be:
• A qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CGA CPA) with excellent academic record
• Strong commitment, communication skills and proven record of professional and client focused individual
