Audit Senior Manager

The company is a Big 4 practice, in the process of strengthening their team they are looking for a qualified Senior Accountant, minimum of 7 years’ experience with a proven track record of outstanding performance and display a high level of people and business skills.

Based in Cork this role offers fast career progression for the right candidate working with key clients in Large PLC, Multinational within the Industrial, Commercial and Technology sector.

Overall duties include:
• Provision of guidance and expertise to professional staff and participation in the performance of audit procedures, with a particular focus on complex and specialised issues. Including audits, control reviews and assistance with regulatory compliance
• Development of team members by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the team. You will develop technical expertise - both functional & industry.
• Understanding the clients industry and recognition of the key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical and industry developments.
• Planning the engagement objectives to ensure compliance with professional standards and appropriately address risk. Preparation and or review of management letters, audit project proposals, budgets, fee billing negotiations and recovery, and contract terms.
• Review and approve for signing all financial statements, opinions and reports and other deliverable documents for clients
• Maintenance of relationships with other engagement teams and monitor team progress against plan and drive performance as required
• Identify new business opportunities and develop long term relationships and networks both internally and externally

Cerinte:

Ideally you will be:
• A qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CGA CPA) with excellent academic record
• Minimum of 7 years PQE with an appetite to develop your career in practice
• Strong commitment, communication skills and proven record of professional and client focused individual
• Proven track record of outstanding performance and display a high level of people and business skills
• Shown an on-going commitment to your personal and professional development through continuing education
• Dedicated to team work and leadership
• Experience in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) & US GAAP
• An ability to manage projects and teams
